No, thanks. I'd rather walk.

CVTs must have their place in the world, since they continue to be produced and sold. But I have hated every one I have had any experience with. My friend sold her Nissan Sentra and got a Rogue and they both were/are decent vehicles ruined by the CVT.
I wonder if the Outlander is the same.

Not even a smidgeon of Hyperbole. You have avoided the trappings of your usual reviewer good job.

From a look perspective, they look like they went backwards! The only real thing going for it is the warranty and cheap price. I've seen 2 on the roads and wanted to ask them why they made such a dumb choice.
Serious question: why were you driving one at all???

Delivering to a customer's dealer after a sunroof install.

Oh ok! I was so worried you were shopping for a new SUV and decided to look at it!
And aftermarket sunroof? I didn't know people still did those honestly

The more torque a car has, the better it mates to a CVT. A maxima was good. The Accords and Altimas were good, too. The Versa is eh, but it's just a cheap commuter car.

They're a lot better than they used to be, actually. Ours have lifetime warranty and we're booked out for a month on the sunroof side of the shop.
